AFG methodological note on data collection
In reporting sector data covering the Observatory's four themes for asset management, the AFG drew on multiple sources:
- Annual survey on responsible investment statistics, published in July 2022:
The AFG collected information from its member asset management companies on their responsible investment (RI) management activities in 2021.
The sample is composed of 81 asset management companies representing 71 responses to the questionnaire (some asset management companies responded for all the companies in the group).
The asset management companies in the sample manage a total of €3,869 billion in mutual funds and management mandates.
The number of responding asset management companies varies from one year to the next, with only 54 responding to the two surveys conducted in 2020 and 2021.
- SRI Label
The AFG contributes to promoting the government's SRI Label and maintains a dedicated website for doing so.
