Responsible management

The organisation has worked to facilitate the integration of ESG criteria by private equity firms active in France. France Invest became involved in environmental, social and governance issues as early as 2008, when it adopted a Charter of Commitments for Investors in Growth, revised in 2014.

Since 2009, France Invest has maintained an ESG Commission in charge of raising awareness of ESG issues among private equity firms and facilitating the integration of ESG criteria throughout the investment, monitoring and reporting process. Several publications resulting from the work of the ESG Commission have helped the French private equity industry gain recognition as a leader on ESG issues at the international level.

Coal phase-out

France Invest does not have a policy on divestment from coal as its active private equity members have not invested in companies directly involved in coal.

Transition to a low-carbon economy

France Invest acts to promote the transition to a low-carbon economy through members' financing of CleanTech and its promotion of Initiative Climat France and IC International among its membership base.
